So — who is Jimothy the raccoon, exactly? He's a wild, free-ranging raccoon believed to have been born around 2025 with a rare spinal condition called short spine syndrome (SSS).

It's an extremely uncommon congenital deformity that results in a significantly shortened spine, giving Jimothy his unmistakable silhouette: rounded, low to the ground, somehow both compact and enormous in presence.
